John B. Mitchell, M.D., is a Board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in adults. Dr. Mitchell completed his undergraduate degree at Harvard College, concentrating in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. He received a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from NYU, and earned his M.D. at Jefferson Medical College, where he received the Baldwin L. Keyes Prize in Psychiatry. He completed his residency training at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received the Psychiatry Department’s award for outstanding medical student education. At his previous position at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Holland, Dr. Mitchell served as Assistant Clinical Professor at the MSU College of Human Medicine. His outside interests include triathlons, photography and travel with his wife and two children.
