Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Psychology Associates is looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Mid Towne location. This is a part-time or full-time position with the flexibility to create your own schedule. A hired candidate will provide medication management services to a variety of clients in a comfortable, high-quality, outpatient setting. 

Qualifications: 

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience helping adult patients
• DEA License
• NM Controlled Substance License
• Board certified/Psych Certified

General job description/duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing behavioral health services to adults including psychiatric diagnostic interviews, periodic psychiatric evaluations, and medication management.
• Meeting with patients for initial and follow up appointments. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and behavioral healthcare needs.
• Discussing cases with psychiatrist and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan(s).
• Collaborate with other health professional regarding patient care and treatment options.
• Maintaining detailed and HIPAA compliant records of each patient contact (in person, telephone, etc.) and progress in individual treatment plan and goals to be submitted for periodic review and evaluation by psychiatrist.
• Prescribing or recommending medications or other forms of treatment. May refer patients to other healthcare providers for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
