Divorce and Post-Divorce Adjustment
Most couples and families going through a separation and/or divorce process experience grief, losses, anxiety, fear and anger as they reform two separate families. Even after the legal divorce is reached difficult adjustments continue to be made post divorce, with transition problems for many children, the introduction of significant others and remarriages, and forming new relationships with stepparents and stepfamilies.
Parenting Coordination/Co-parent Counseling: Some post-divorce families experience a high degree of conflict often resulting in children experiencing significant emotional and social adjustment problems. Judges, referees and attorneys can refer post-divorce, high conflict families for counseling services designed to reduce conflict between divorced parents, increase communication effectiveness, and assist in keeping their children from being caught in the middle of their conflict.
