Andrew Donaldson is a licensed professional counselor specializing in couples and family therapy, along with seeing adult men and women individually. Andrew has experience working with a wide variety of diagnoses, including depression and anxiety, substance abuse and addiction, and relational strain and brokenness. Also, for those who are interested in a faith-based approach to therapy, Andrew’s graduate training from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary allows him to bring a spiritual component to therapy by permission or request of the client. Andrew has a passion for bringing healing and restoration to the hurting marriages in Grand Rapids. He has training in both relationship-healing therapies, like Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, and brain-based approaches, such as Interpersonal Neurobiology. Andrew brings a warm, compassionate presence into therapy, while also being heavily influenced by the science of relationships and brain function. He believes a successful approach to therapy utilizes the science, yet treats therapy as an art form, making each session as unique as the person and situation in front of him.
